Argon plasma: supporting skin retraction

Argon plasma is an energy-based technology that combines argon gas with electrical energy. It may be used alongside HD liposuction to help tissues beneath the skin contract, supporting skin retraction after fat removal.

While liposuction shapes the contour by removing localised fat, argon plasma addresses a different aspect: how the skin adapts to that contour. Its suitability depends on skin quality, the degree of laxity and the treatment area.

It does not replace surgery to remove substantial excess skin or guarantee a particular degree of tightening.

Muscle definition and volume

Fat grafting may complement HD liposuction by adding volume to selected areas and enhancing the appearance of muscular definition. It uses your own fat, collected during liposuction and prepared before transfer.

While liposuction reduces localised fat to reveal anatomical lines, fat grafting adds volume where appropriate. The aim is balanced proportions that respect your anatomy and individual goals.

This changes the appearance of the contour; it does not increase muscle strength or replace exercise. Some transferred fat may be reabsorbed, and the retained volume varies.

Care considered in stages.

01 / Listening

Understand your goals and your history.

02 / Planning

Discuss possibilities, limitations and priorities.

03 / Follow-up

Define guidance and appointments for each individual case.

Definition guided by anatomy

HD liposuction is an approach to body contouring that aims to highlight anatomical lines by treating localised fat. Planning considers proportions, fat distribution, skin quality and your goals.

What assessment should clarify

Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity and does not replace healthy habits. Skin elasticity, laxity and health conditions influence suitability and the limits of the outcome. The same degree of definition is not suitable for everyone.

Preparation and follow-up

Medical history, medication and tests guide preparation. Recovery may involve swelling, bruising, sensory changes and temporary restrictions on exertion. Compression garments, local care and return to exercise depend on individual guidance; contour is assessed as recovery progresses.

Realistic expectations

Contour irregularities, asymmetry, skin changes, bleeding, infection, thrombosis and anaesthetic complications are part of the risk discussion. Additional technologies or combinations with other surgery require individual assessment, without guaranteeing a specific body shape.

Frequently asked questions

Is HD liposuction a weight-loss procedure?

It treats localised fat and contour. It is not a treatment for obesity.

Can I achieve the same definition as a reference photo?

Photos can help communicate your goals. Individual anatomy and skin quality limit the ability to reproduce a specific appearance.

When can contour be assessed?

Swelling and healing evolve during recovery. Contour should be assessed alongside this progress at follow-up appointments.
